ECJF is a faith-centered youth football and cheer program headquartered in Sammamish, Washington. We are a proud member of the ECJF is part of the North Sound Junior Football League (NSJFL) with teams from King and Snohoish Counties.

ECJF is open to ANYONE who wants to learn the sport of football. As a practical matter, we market mainly to parochial schools, private schools, and families who may have an interest in Eastside Catholic School.

Unlike most youth tackle and flag football programs that have strict geographic boundaries for team assignments, ECJF has no geographic restrictions. As most private school kids don’t come from the same geographic areas, ECJF gives them an opportunity to play with their friends and schoolmates.

No, we are open to all players.

In a practical sense, it means we pray before our games. In a larger sense, it means we profess our faith in the way the coaches, players and fans conduct themselves both on and off the field.

ECJF is open to anyone in 3rd grade through 8th.

Absolutely.

Every effort is made to put friends on the same team; friends playing with friends is one of the main reasons ECJF was started.

The season runs from early August through approximately the first week in November.

Practices and home games are held at Eastside Catholic School, 232 228th Avenue SE, Sammamish, WA 98074.

Practice begins the first Monday in August and is 4 nights a week (Monday through Thursday) for the first few weeks of August, until the start of school. Thereafter, practice is held on 3 of 4 weeknights (Monday through Thursday) from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Games are played on Saturdays.

Playing time is based on attitude, effort, and attendance at weekly practices. As a rule, players who show-up on-time, work hard and pay attention during the week are guaranteed at least 10 plays from scrimmage during the game.

Participation fees for football for the 2023 season are:

$400 for 89ers
$450 for all other levels

Equipment Deposit
$225 Equipment Deposit - can be returned or charitably donated at the end of season, once equipment is returned
$0 for Flag Football

Multi-Child Discount
There is a multi-child discount if registered at the same time:

-$ 50 for 2 children
-$ 75 for 3 children
-$125 for 4 children

The fee includes:

• Football Helmet
• Shoulder Pads
• Practice Jersey
• Game pants (with integrated pads)

It also includes a personalized game jersey which the player keeps at the end of the season.

Players will need to supply their own:

• Mouth Guards (at least 2) - Shock Doctor or an equally effective mouth guard. We recommend against flavored mouth guards.
• Practice Pants with integrated girdle/pads (preferably white)
• Athletic Compression Shorts and Cup
• Football Cleats

ECJF does provide need-based youth football scholarships.

ECJF is a 100% volunteer organization with all of our funds going back into the program. We have a constant need for volunteers to help with everything from coaching to concessions to cheerleading.
